Mitchell Allphin, M.D. is our second-year Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellow. As a fellow, Dr. Allphin treats patients under the guidance of our experienced physicians as part of the rigorous two-year fellowship training required for all retina specialists. He shares our mission of delivering exceptional clinical and surgical care to every patient.

Ogul E. Uner, M.D.
Tennessee Retina (2026-2028)
Ogul E. Uner, M.D., is a first-year Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellow at Tennessee Retina. He has completed fellowship training in Uveitis and Clinical Ocular Immunology and has a strong clinical interest in uveitic masquerade syndromes and innovation in medical retinal diseases. Dr. Uner has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and is actively engaged in research focused on big data, artificial intelligence, and the clinical epidemiology of retinal disease.
