Tennessee Retina Welcomes Incoming Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellow, Ogul E. Uner, M.D.
Tennessee Retina is pleased to welcome Ogul E. Uner, M.D., as our incoming Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellow for the 2026–2028 academic years.
Dr. Uner joins Tennessee Retina in July after completing his ophthalmology residency at Casey Eye Institute. He also recently completed fellowship training in Uveitis and Clinical Ocular Immunology and brings a strong commitment to advancing retinal care through both patient-centered medicine and clinical research.
His professional interests include uveitic masquerade syndromes, innovation in medical retinal diseases, and the application of artificial intelligence and big data to improve patient outcomes. Dr. Uner has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and remains actively involved in retinal research and clinical epidemiology.
Dr. Uner will receive advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of complex retinal diseases while working alongside our experienced physicians. Patients may see Dr. Uner in clinic as he participates in patient care throughout his fellowship training.
We are excited to welcome Dr. Uner to Tennessee Retina and look forward to supporting his continued growth as a vitreoretinal surgeon and clinician-scientist.
