Cryopexy
Cryopexy is a procedure that uses extreme cold to treat retinal tears by creating a small area of scar tissue around the tear, helping seal it and prevent fluid from passing through. The treatment is performed using a specialized cryopexy probe applied to the outside of the eye and typically requires only local anesthesia.
Following treatment, you may experience temporary blurry vision, sensitivity, redness, or mild discomfort. These symptoms generally improve over the following days to weeks.
