Subspecialty Care
Tennessee Retina provides comprehensive retinal care with specialized expertise in pediatric retina, ocular oncology, and uveitis. Our physicians care for patients with a wide range of complex retinal and inflammatory conditions, making Tennessee Retina a regional center for advanced retinal care.
Expert evaluation and management of tumors and other ocular malignancies. Our Oncology team, led by Dr. David Reichstein offers hope and healing to those affected by ocular tumors.
Specialized diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory diseases affecting the eye. Our Uveitis team, led by Dr. Akshay Thomas works with our patients to determine the best treatment.
Specialized care for children and patients with complex retinal conditions requiring pediatric expertise. Our Pediatric Retina Specialist, Dr. Franco Recchia, uses expert care to treat our pediatric patients.

- A collaborative surgical model — Add-on surgical cases are distributed among physicians with available weekday block time.
- Shared call responsibilities — Call is evenly shared among associates and partners.
- Physician involvement — Associates are invited to participate in physician board meetings and contribute to the direction of the practice.
