March 2026 Image of the Month

Our featured image in March was captured by Christina Moreno on our OPTOS Fundus camera!
This is a photo of a Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachment. Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachments are the most common types of detachment. These detachments occur when there is a tear or break that allows fluid to pass through and collect underneath the retina, detaching it from its underlying blood supply. Retinal Detachments are a site threatening condition and need to be examined and treated by a retina specialist.
