Optimizing Outcomes with the Port Delivery System (PDS)
This image demonstrates high-quality visualization of the FDA-approved Port Delivery System (PDS), a surgically implanted, sustained-release drug delivery platform used in the management of chronic retinal disease. The PDS is designed to provide continuous intravitreal therapy while reducing the frequency of in-office injections.
The Port Delivery System is utilized in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema, and choroidal neovascularization.
Tennessee Retina continues to participate in clinical trials evaluating the Port Delivery System and is actively involved in the training of retina specialists on surgical implantation and postoperative management. Ongoing clinical research remains critical to advancing treatment strategies and improving outcomes for patients with chronic, vision-threatening retinal conditions.
