Dr. Mitchell Allphin Presents Research at the 2026 ASRS Annual Meeting
Tennessee Retina is proud to recognize our second-year Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellow, Dr. Mitchell Allphin, who recently presented research at the 2026 American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) Annual Meeting.
Dr. Allphin's presentation focused on the safety of anti-VEGF injections in patients with uveitis, an important area of study for patients with inflammatory eye disease who require retinal treatment.
The research evaluated the incidence of infection following anti-VEGF injections in patients with uveitis and examined whether systemic immunosuppression influenced those outcomes. The findings contribute to the growing body of evidence supporting informed treatment decisions for patients with complex retinal conditions.
